Enterprise Environments and Firewall Issues

If you are having problems viewing Buto videos, or using the Buto control panel within your corporate network, here are some things to check with your IT team:

1. Check that the Buto domains are allowed.

We use a host of subdomains to run the Buto platform, so your IT team need to ‘whitelist’ or ‘un-block’:

*.buto.tv

So that every domain under buto.tv is allowed.

2. Check that the firewall or proxy server allows our media files.

Buto media files are typically large (video files are very big) so if there are any maximum download limits, then *.buto.tv should be exempted from them.

The file types we deliver in are:

.flv
.m4v
.3gp

So all of these will need to be allowed through to ensure playback.
