Uploading a video clip to Buto is one of the most common things our users do, and we wanted to make the process clearer and faster.

Our old upload process featured a single screen with four steps:

  • Pick a video file
  • Type a title
  • Choose settings and theme profiles
  • Pick a size

Once these were all filled in (or left at the defaults) we uploaded the file and encoded it.

In the new version, we’ve taken account of what you want to do most: get content onto the system, and worry about the details later.

Here’s the new upload process:

  • Pick the file and start the upload.

Once it’s transferred, Buto presents you with a second screen to change the optional settings (or just skip past) – while your video begins encoding in the background.

If you’re happy with the defaults then you can close the window and you’re given a link straight through to the embed code.

We hope you’ll find the new process easier to use, and quicker to work with.
