The next version of Buto (2.5) is our most significant update yet, and offers a powerful new way to work with your video content.

Coming before the end of February, we’re introducing some new features including more visual customisation, player profiles that let you store and manage settings, and best of all: “re-publishing” – a way of re-using video you’ve uploaded.

Every video you upload will be published once automatically, just like it is now. The difference is that you can add additional “re-publishes” to a video, to re-use it on a new site, with a new set of controls, or with a different colour scheme.

Statistics will track each “publish” separately, allowing you to see how your content performs on different sites, or different pages within your site.

Don’t worry – if you want to carry on using Buto as you have done before, that’s no problem – it’s just as easy to upload and embed a clip in your site.

We’ll be producing screen-captured demo films for the Support section of Buto to explain the new features when we launch.
